Carlos L. Esguerra

Carlos L. Esguerra is a graduate of the University of the Philippines (BSBA, ’62) and The George Washington University (MBA, ’67). He was in the computer field for 36 years starting as a programmer analyst for IBM Corporation in White Plains, NY, and later as founder and president of CLE Systems, Inc. for the last 12 years. He took early retirement from his business in 2003 to devote his time in his passion – photography. He just returned recently from Linz, Austria to receive an award from the 2004 Hasselblad Austrian Super Circuit, described as the world's largest salon style photography exhibition. Selected by an international jury of respected photographers, several of his works traveled with an exhibition to four cities in China in October 2004 and to major cities of Austria in November 2004.

He has received other national and international awards, and his works have been selected in numerous juried exhibitions in several states including Colorado, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and in Canada. He has begun to sell his work, and has a growing group of loyal corporate and individual collectors in the US, Germany, and Mexico.
Esguerra’s works have been published in Best of Photography Annual 2004, Smithsonian, Spa, Popular Photography & Imaging, Photo Life, and Hasselblad’s FORUM Magazine.
